Run with heart spike

Posted on May 21st, 2009 in Uncategorized | No Comments »

run

I did the regular work run tonight, although guess its not regular anymore. I got half way round and my heart rate was even higher than usual, so decided to walk.  Then 5 minutes later when my heart rate had lowered and I was walking, my heart felt funny like it missed a beat or fluttered or something. Then didn’t  quite catch my breath for a second or two, looked at my HRM and it jumped up to 226 bpm. I wasn’t doing anything strenuous and hadn’t been running for several minutes.

The spike in bpm only lasted a few seconds before it lowered again but unsettling that its happened more in the last 3 months than in the previous 18 months.

Heart rate and speed are shown below in a graph.

POLICE Bling 153282

Sussex Police have come up with the poster above and are asking the public to report anyone who is wearing too much bling that they belive they couldn’t afford. Every day I see more stories like this crap. You would think this was some sort of joke but here are some links to articles on it.

This story was mentioned on No Agenda, go and have a listen to the excellent Podcast.

I decided to have another lazy day (like most days) and have changed the theme of this blog to something slightly different, but still very simple. At some point I will design one from scratch, but its not a priority.

I’ve also added a plugin that will pull my Twitter and FriendFeed posts/tweets into blog posts. So at least there should be fresh content on here most days. I may have to play with the settings a bit, lots of junk could get posted.
